About

Buildsheet.com was born in 2006 (launched in ‘07) from a desire to create a community for the Automotive Hobbyist, who sees the machine as art, for those who share our devotion to transform artifacts of American culture into symbols of personal expression.

And much like our automotive projects, this web site is and will always be a work in process. It will need tweaking and tuning along the way and you may discover a problem or two, but rather than wait for the polished, finely tuned “perfect website”, we thought we would put it on the road in primer and let you “kick the tires” so to speak. With that said, we welcome your input and invite you to drop us a line when you encounter that annoying imperfection.

Did we happen to mention that we’re emotional about cars? We love cars for the street and cars for the strip, from the brutally simple hot rod to the wickedly complex street machine. We love this stuff so much, we build and restore them for a living and at Buildsheet.com, we open up the doors to our shops and share our daily activities with you. Through our daily blogs, you will have a continuous private tour and you will see how things are done by the pros.

Buildsheet is where the world can visit the Pure Vision garage and get a behind the scenes tour.— Steve Strope

You’ll see and read our perspective of what goes on in our world. You will follow the ups and downs of our projects as we grind, bend, tweak, paint, polish, and tune them. We will share with you our tricks and tips, tools, and techniques, and a bit of that raw ingenuity to help you better your own ride!

We’ll showcase our favorite products and let you know why we love them. Not only will you see some of the most amazing custom cars under construction and in their Sunday best, but we hope you get a chance to learn something about us along the way too. We welcome you into our world and hope that you come along for the ride at Buildsheet.com.
